Zuzu is a Grand Prix horse. He was injured in May 0f 2011 and his ultrasound revealed a suspensory ligament tear. Another ultrasound was taken a week later and a “hole” was identified on the ultrasound indicating severe damages in the ligament. The vet recommended another full 10 cc dose of VIVR8.
Severe suspensory ligament tear
During the month following the injury, Zuzu was allowed to heal and gradually build strength by putting him on a controlled physical activity and rehab program. At 30 day post injection follow up, his ultrasound revealed significant healing. Three months after Zuzu’s injury, he was sound and started training program.
